Scared to say the thoughts out loud?
Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, distressing, and very common. Having them does not mean you are a risk to your baby, and it does not make you a bad parent. This is a safe, confidential space where you can speak without fear of judgement.
The perinatal period can bring enormous change. Whether you're trying to conceive, pregnant, recovering after birth, carrying a pregnancy as a surrogate, navigating fertility or pregnancy loss, becoming a parent, or supporting someone you love through these experiences, you deserve support that understands the impact this time can have on your mental health and everyday life.
You don't have to wait until things reach crisis point. If your mind feels constantly busy, you're avoiding things that once felt easy, or you're finding it hard to enjoy this stage of life because anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or overwhelm have taken over, I'm here to help.
Does this sound like what you are going through?
Feeling terrified by intrusive "what if" thoughts about harm or contamination
Constantly checking on your baby's breathing or checking your own feelings
Mentally replaying events to make sure you did not do anything wrong
Asking your partner for reassurance over and over
Avoiding being alone with your baby or avoiding certain rooms/objects
Perinatal OCD & Intrusive Thoughts
Unwanted, distressing thoughts, images, urges, sensations and memories.
Repetitive checking, asking for reassurance, mental reviewing, and avoidance
Anxiety that feels impossible to switch off or step away from
Perinatal Mood and Trauma
Difficult or unexpected perinatal experiences (Trauma)
Low mood, panic, and persistent anxiety during pregnancy or postpartum
Worries around bonding, attachment, and feeling connected with your baby

Practical support. Psychological understanding.
My Approach: Values over Distress
My approach brings together Occupational Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and adapted Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), alongside sensory-informed practice.
OCD is a doing problem. Occupational Therapy supports you to participate in everyday life in ways that matter to you, even with fear coming along for the ride. Rather than trying to force distress down, we focus on what you actually value. Together, we get curious about life rather than needing to find all the answers, avoid triggers, or spend your energy trying to push difficult thoughts away.
What we can work on together:
Responding differently to intrusive thoughts: Making sense of distressing thoughts, images, or doubts during pregnancy and the postnatal period without getting stuck in them.
Breaking the cycle of OCD compulsions: Practical ways to step back from checking, mental reviewing, reassurance seeking, and avoidance.
Sensory regulation and distress tolerance: Understanding your sensory triggers and building your capacity to stay present when anxiety spikes.
Navigating identity shifts (matrescence and life changes): Giving yourself space and compassion as your roles, body, and daily reality shift.
Managing burnout and the invisible mental load: Realistic strategies to look after your own needs while caring for your baby and family.
Reconnecting with everyday life: Getting back to the routines, activities, and relationships that matter to you, guided by your values rather than fear.
